Planned Parenthood Tour and Information Session

Tonight we had the incredible opportunity to visit the Planned Parenthood - Greater Boston Health Center with members of Brandeis Pro-Choice and the larger Brandeis community. While phone banking was going on in the other room, we were treated to an extensive information session by Lily Kofke, a Bilingual Community Health Educator for the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. We learned about many of the clinic's health, counseling, and financial services and Lily thoughtfully answered our many questions on everything from IUDs to judicial bypass regulations. Afterwards we took a tour of the offices used for Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund work and the full-service clinic where many Massachusetts women receive crucial healthcare including cancer screenings, STI testing, gynecologic exams, pregnancy counseling, contraception, and abortion services.

This was the first visit to a Planned Parenthood for most of the attendees and was a great learning experience to help us work more productively and informed in the fight to protect women's reproductive rights and healthcare. Thank you to all the Planned Parenthood staff who made the visit possible!
